Grassy Key is a small quiet Key located just 6 miles east of Marathon. The Florida Keys all offer wonderful places for snorkeling, bicycling, hiking and nature watching. Grassy Key is a wonderful place to vacation if you enjoy a little more seclusion from the touristy areas of Key West and Key Largo. It is also a great place if you love dolphins! The Dolphin Research Center is just a couple of minutes away. Here you will be able to swim or visit with dolphins while learning about these wonderful mammals. For a little fun on the water try your hand at kayaking or fishing along the beautiful sandy shores and around the mangrove filled state parks. Along U.S. 1 are boat, bicycle and kayak rentals, or you can also travel to Marathon, where you will find shopping, fine dining and many more activities. The Florida Keys Marathon Airport (MTH, 5miles) is the closest airport to Grassy Key.
