Hammock Beach is located on the shoreline just outside Palm Coast, Florida, which is midway between Daytona and St. Augustine. This is the perfect place to set up a chair on the beach and just watch the waves of the Atlantic Ocean roll into the shore. While nearby Palm Coast provides good dining and some shopping, we suggest you take a day trip up to St. Augustine, “America’s First City.” Here you can enjoy riding in a horse drawn carriage through the historically reconstructed 18th century Spanish Quarter, walk around the historic downtown shops, and complete the day with fine dining at one of the city’s many restaurants. Of course, you don’t have to leave the Hammock Beach area to have fun. Kayaking, fishing (charter and coastal), golfing, hiking and bicycling can all be found nearby. If you like racing, then take a trip down to Daytona where you will find the Daytona International Speedway, white sandy beaches and many souvenir shops. The closest airports to Hammock Beach are Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB, 26miles) and Jacksonville International Airport (JAX, 75miles).
