Land O’Lakes is located in the heart of Pasco County just 20 miles North of Tampa, Florida. The area is true to its name with over one hundred lakes surrounding the city. These lakes provide recreation, water sports and a beautiful countryside for those staying in Land O’Lakes. Popular activities here include hiking, bicycling and swimming. If you want to see the wildlife in the area, take a walk around the city parks and lakes and you will see blue herons, alligators, armadillos and sand cranes. The local golf course offers another good look at the local landscape. There are shopping malls and many restaurants for you to explore in town as well. However, you will find endless shopping, dining and entertainment just a short drive South in the Tampa Bay area. Entertainment here includes professional sports teams, charter fishing, and Busch Gardens. A short drive West puts you near Tarpon Springs and some of the best beaches along the Gulf of Mexico.
