Little Torch Key is located just South of Big Pine Key in the Lower Florida Keys. You will not find the massive spring break vacation parties here on Little Torch Key. This island is set around arguably the most eco-friendly natural settings in the Florida Keys, Bahia Honda State Park. At the park you can rent kayaks and snorkeling equipment. Snorkeling tours are taken out to the Looe Key Reef which is about 12 miles off shore in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The park also has changing rooms, restrooms, showers and a snack bar, and is the perfect place for swimming and bird watching. Bird watching is also very popular on Little Torch Key itself where you will see many species of birds among the marshes and torchwood trees. Once you are done enjoying the natural settings, be sure to check out some of Little Torch Key’s wonderful restaurants and boutiques. Charter fishing for tarpon, sailfish, marlin and many other species is also available in the area. Little Torch Key is the perfect, quiet and relaxing place you have been looking for to enjoy your vacation. The Florida Keys Marathon Airport (MTH, 20miles) and the Key West International Airport (EYW, 26miles) provide commercial airstrips. Miami International Airport (MIA, 100miles) is a much longer drive but may provide cheaper commercial flights.
