Manasota Key is part of the barrier island chain that separates Lemon Bay from the Gulf of Mexico in SouthWestern Florida. This island is relatively quiet and relaxed. Manasota Beach is a great public beach with picnic sites, restrooms and showers available. Located on the Lemon Bay side of the island, Blind Pass Beach has nature trails, a docking area and swimming area. The whole island is great for shelling and shoreline fishing. On the island you will find a few good restaurants and shops but most of the non-souvenir shopping will be found on the mainland in Englewood. Englewood is also the best place to rent boats, play a round of golf or charter a fishing trip. Manasota Key provides the perfect setting for your private vacation. The Sarasota-Bradenton Airport (SRQ, 37miles) and the SouthWest Florida International Airport (RSW, 50miles) are the closest large commercial airports to Manasota Key. |
