St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is just a short drive away. This park has secluded beaches, boardwalks, nature trails (for bicycling and hiking), white sand dunes, and an abundance of wildlife. Inland from Mexico Beach there are many rivers to fish and explore by boat and fishing pole.
