Palm Harbor is a wonderful little city on the western coast of Florida just west of Tampa. Palm Harbor is the perfect place to enjoy the Saint Joseph Sound and the many sites in and around the Pinellas Peninsula and Tampa Bay. Just across the Bascule Bridge from Palm Harbor is Honeymoon Island. The island has an extensive state park that offers numerous beaches, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and guided trail walks. Just south of Honeymoon Island are Caladesi Island and its state park, which has some of the best shelling beaches in the area. Back in Palm Harbor you will find oceanfront trails and beaches to explore; boat rentals are also available. The surrounding area provides attractions such as championship golf courses, public tennis courts, freshwater fishing and much more. On the streets of Palm Harbor there are many shops and boutiques for you to explore. You might want to take a trip down the Pinellas Peninsula and explore St. Petersburg or maybe venture over into Tampa where larger scale attractions, stores, and entertainment can be found. Regardless of what you choose to do here in Palm Harbor, you will have an exciting and memorable vacation. The Tampa International Airport (TPA, 17miles) and the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE, 17miles) service flights to this region. |
