Trilacoochee is located about 45 miles north of Tampa, Florida along Highway 301. The area is at the beginnings of the Withlacochee River and is a wonderful place to see the natural settings of the Florida countryside. The river itself is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, or fishing. The community here is laid back which makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. Also available in the area, horseback riding is another great way to see the surrounding land. County golf courses provide ample opportunity to play with low greens fees. If you really want to see some of the large attractions in Florida such as Walt Disney World or Busch Gardens, they are only a short drive away. But, you will not find any tourist traps or long lines waiting for attractions here in Trilacoochee. Instead you will enjoy your vacation the way you want to.
