Madeira Beach is part of a group of barrier islands located East of St. Petersburg and the Pinellas Peninsula, which encompasses Tampa Bay. This small city has a beautiful beach along the Gulf of Mexico and convenient canals on the Boca Ciega Bay. There are activities here for everyone. Charter fishing trips can be arranged or you can rent your own boat for just a nice day on the water. Jet skis, parasail rides and kayaks can all be found for purchase or rent in the area. In Madeira Beach there are old pirate ships to explore and sailboats to be chartered, miniature golf to be played and shopping to do, restaurants to visit and beaches to play on. Everything you could want for your vacation is right here at your fingertips. There are state parks along the barrier islands and a fun shopping village just South of Madeira Beach called John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk. St. Petersburg and Tampa are just a short drive away and host a wide variety of entertainment including professional sports teams, golfing, theme parks, museums and much more. The St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE, 14miles) and the Tampa International Airport (TPA, 25miles) are good choices for flights.
