Vacation Rental Description

SIMPLY AWEWSOME...says it all! This beautiful recently remodeled (2011)) condo with carpet (most Apollo units have tile rather than carpet), new paint, new furniture, linens and fully furnished is located on the southern (quiet) tip of the island. It is a corner unit on the ninth floor of a ten story building. The carpet in the bedroom and living room gives it a very warm feeling.

We rented a similar unit in 2002 and fell in love with the Apollo and Marco. We purchased a unit to rent to others and to use ourselves. We and our repeat renters just love it here and we think you will too! Since we handle all our rentals ourselves, we are able to keep our prices the lowest. We now have WiFi.

We live in nearby Goodland in the winter months and are available for any immediate requests. 1 Bedroom...1 queen, 1 sofabed sleeps 2-4...one bath Full Kitchen... dishes/cookware/utensils, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, washer/dryer (in bldg), linens/towels/beach towels air conditioning cable TV (2), VCR, stereo, CD, cassette, phone balcony, covered parking heated pool, jacuzzi, exercise room, 2 tennis courts.

We love to sit on the balcony and watch all the beachcombers and other things happening on the beach. We especially like to watch the beautiful sunsets from our balcony. The Apollo offers great facilities including a casual restaurant/bar with outdoor seating. It has an elegant lobby, lovely landscaped grounds, on-the premises security and numerous amenities.

Local Information

Marco Island is a beautiful island with white sandy beaches, a casual pace of life, and is in the middle of an ecotourist’s paradise. Located just 18 miles south of Naples in southwestern Florida, this island is the perfect place to relax and enjoy watching the sun creep through the sky and eventually sink into the Gulf of Mexico. The northwestern shore of Marco Island is where you will find public beach access at Tigertail Public Beach. The beach has restrooms, showers, beach equipment rentals, and a small snack bar. Parks on the island provide wonderful places to enjoy some fun in the sun playing tennis, shuffleboard or volleyball. The marinas on Marco Island have boat rentals and fishing gear rentals for those who want to get out on the ocean for a while. Fishing charters can also be found on the island. Back on the mainland you will find the Briggs Nature Center, multiple golf courses and Naples. Naples is a wonderful little city with a rich history and happens to be the perfect place to go window shopping. On Marco Island you will be just miles away from Everglades National Park and the many national parks outside its boarders. Marco Island is in the perfect location to relax and enjoy fair, warm weather during the winter months. Fort Myers hosts the closest airport, the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW, 45miles).
