Key Biscayne is an exclusive island just south of Miami Beach and across the Rickenbacker Causeway from Miami. Though Key Biscayne is one of the islands of the Florida Keys, it does not feel like part of them. Million dollar homes, villas, condos and cottages line the oceanfront and canals on the island. The beaches here are pristine and well kept. On the southern tip of the island you will find Bill Baggs State Park which is the perfect place to go for a bike ride or hike through the forests after enjoying the park and beaches. Other beaches in the area, such as Hobie Beach, provide great spots for surfing and water sports such as jet skiing. On the island itself you will find a golf course, professional tennis complexes, premier shopping and exquisite dining. Key Biscayne and the Miami shoreline also have charter fishing, sailing and cruises available for those who want to spend a day out on the water. Staying here on Key Biscayne is a dream come true with fantastic local entertainment and activities and far enough away from the big city to avoid feeling like you are in it. Miami International Airport (MIA, 12miles) is the closest airport to Key Biscayne.
