Jupiter is located along Florida’s Gold Coast about 15 miles north of Palm Beach. The beaches here are peaceful. Jupiter does not have the high population of tourists that the Palm Beach area has. Hence, the area is much quieter and relaxing. Beaches along Jupiter Island and the area around the Jupiter Inlet offer nature exhibits, trails for hiking and biking, shallow wading areas for kids, and lifeguards. The ocean here is perfect for you to try your hand at windsurfing, surfing, or maybe even a little fishing off one of the piers. Cruises and intra coastal waterway tours are available here, as well as canoe and kayak rentals. There is also a nearby coral reef and many old shipwrecks, perfect for diving and snorkeling. Local clubs provide the public with great golf courses and tennis courts. If you are looking for something fun and interesting, you should head out to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, which offers tours and has a historical museum. There is also the Marine Life Center in Juno Beach, just south of Jupiter. Premier shopping and dining is easily found in the downtown area. Palm Beach International Airport (PBI, 20miles) is the closest airport. The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL, 65miles) and the Miami International Airport (MIA, 80miles) are other options. |
